Hosted at The Cotton Room in Durham, North Carolina, Corneisha and John’s black-tie wedding was a memorable affair. The historic textile factory was a fitting backdrop for their glam wedding, starring an emerald palette and luxe floral decor.
The pair started the day in private suites located on-site. Corneisha looked stunning in a strapless fit and flare wedding dress. It featured a sweetheart neckline and a train with organza details. She paired it with glam accessories, tiara included, and a floor-length wedding veil. John looked handsome in an emerald suit jacket with a fun floral pattern and satin lapels. Before moving on, I made sure to photograph all the little details from their day in a timeless wedding flat lay, complete with Corneisha’s extravagant cushion diamond engagement ring.
Prior to saying “I do”, the two hosted an intimate no-look first look – during which they could barely contain their excitement! Their indoor ceremony took place in a beautiful hall featuring rustic industrial details. It was contrasted by flowing white drapery and luxe floral decorations. Their backdrop consisted of a metal ceremony ring dressed up with pink roses, white hydrangeas, and bright greenery. The aisle was lined with tall arrangements in glass stands dripping with crystals.
We shot their wedding portraits outside against the urban exterior of the building. Here, the women’s emerald bridesmaid dresses and the men’s tan suits stood out against the warm brick walls. It made for timeless wedding photos, with the historic architecture contrasting the party’s elegant attire!
Before joining their family and friends for the reception, we snapped a few more wedding portraits. We snuck outdoors for a moment to take intimate photos against the brick exterior and beneath the glow of soft lighting. Inside, guests were met by tables outfitted in black linens and featured tall floral centerpieces. Corneisha and John’s sweetheart table was decorated with a fluffy cascading arrangement made up of pink and white flowers. It was a beautiful celebration that I am honored to be a part of and I wish Corneisha and John a lifetime of happiness!
