It was a gorgeous spring day at Morris Peaceland Farm, a beautiful setting for Lauren and Ari’s outdoor wedding. A farm wedding venue in Wake County, the property spans 13 acres and features a large pond surrounded by woods.
The pair started the day in separate on-site suites alongside their wedding party. Lauren wore a romantic lace A-line wedding dress featuring a sheer sweetheart neckline and a long train. She paired it with an intricate crystal headpiece and a lace knee-length veil. Following a first look with her bridesmaids, she enjoyed an emotional first look on the dock with her father. Lauren and Ari opted to take their wedding party photos prior to the ceremony, for which we featured the forest as a backdrop. It perfectly complemented the ladies in their emerald green bridesmaid dresses. Meanwhile, Ari and his groomsmen wore light gray suits with matching emerald ties.
The wedding ceremony took place outdoors on the lawn, in front of the lake and fountain. A backdrop was constructed of wood, dressed up with white drapery and bright white blooms with lots of greenery. It matched Lauren and her bridesmaid’s bouquet beautifully. Following their vow exchange, the guests retired to the nearby reception barn while we took their portraits. We snapped a variety of romantic photos on the dock, as well as in the woods which were at their peak in terms of spring foliage. We would return once the sun went down to take photos under the glow of bistro lights.
The open-air reception space was dressed up with minimal decor. Overhead, crystal chandeliers cast a warm glow on the party below. The reception tables were simple, featuring crisp white linens and wood rounds topped with greenery and floating candles. After a long night of dinner and dancing, and several rounds of shotskis, the two called it a night. It was a joy to be a part of their day and I wish them all the best!
