Hosted at Congdon Yards, Courtney and Kai’s wedding was a colorful and elegant affair. From the stunningly dressed couple to their brilliant choice in an urban venue contrasted by vibrant florals, it was a magical day. On the morning of the wedding, the pair prepared for the day in separate suites. The women’s Luxe Suite featured bright decorations and plenty of mirrors for hair and makeup. While the men relaxed in the Leather Suite, outfitted with comfortable furniture and a television. Courtney was the epitome of elegance in a strapless fit-and-flare wedding dress with a draped bodice and a dramatic tiered skirt with a long train. She complemented the gown with pearl-adorned jewelry, including a cathedral-length veil starring scattered pearls and an intricate lace hem. For the reception, she would change into a two-piece gown with an A-line skirt and a pearl-embellished crop top. Her bridesmaids donned formal purple gowns with mismatched designs and carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet, which featured dark greenery and bold purple blooms. Kai looked especially dapper in a slick white damask suit with a black lapel and matching bow tie. His groomsmen stood by his side dressed in classic black tuxedos with white dress shirts and burgundy bow ties.
The couple’s ceremony took place in the Loft at Congdon Yards in the Silk Room. The airy event space featured urban details with contemporary updates, including whitewashed brick walls and natural wood plank floors. Large windows flooded the space with light, lending an intimate glow. Overhead, the ceiling was decorated with soft white linens and modern globe lights. The aisle was lined with candles in asymmetrical vases, with voluminous florals at the head. The pair exchanged vows in front of a simple wooden geometric wedding arbor adorned with romantic asymmetrical floral arrangements. The bright purple flowers, along with the bridal party in the matching gowns, added a fun pop of color to the neutral space.
Afterward, Courtney and Kai joined their guests in the Pine Room. This equally stunning space starred a rustic design, perfect for a cozy evening surrounded by friends and family. The worn brick walls and timber columns decorated with drapery were contrasted by bold purple linens and gold decorations. Round tables were elevated with tall centerpieces starring lavender and dusty pink roses with purple hydrangeas in glass stands. Following a seated dinner, the newlyweds enjoyed a first dance surrounded by fog – it made for the most enchanted photographs! Ending the night after hours on the dance floor, with a stylish send-off in a vintage automobile. It was a joy to be a part of Courtney and Kai’s story, and I wish them a long joy-filled life together.
