Kelsey & Zach had a beautiful wedding at the Doubletree By Hilton Brownstone, this venue is great because it’s conveniently located near Downtown Raleigh and NC State University. There were so many great locations in the area to choose from to photograph the bride and groom and their bridal party. We loved the design of the ceremony and reception space. Sabrina Seymore Events did a amazing job and we loved the colors and up-lighting. We would like to give a special thank you to Jules with The Coordinated Bride, for featuring this gorgeous wedding! Insights from the bride and groom:

How did you meet?

We met at Shaw University in a Macro Economics class in 2010. We dated for three years.

How did he propose?

Zach proposed the day before Kelsey’s birthday on May 16, 2014. The proposal was definitely a surprise. Zack went to Kelsey’s job; Kelsey is a second grade teacher. He sent Kelsey’s close co-workers messages on Facebook letting them know that he was going to propose the next day at school during a faculty meeting. On the day of the proposal Kelsey’s principal called an unexpected faculty meeting on a Friday, the teachers and staff were not pleased.   Zack was hidden in the principal’s office while they got all of the staff together. The Human Resource Manager proceeded to call Kelsey into her office to discuss some random conversation while the faculty meeting was being set up. When Kelsey and her HR Manager walked into the meeting, everyone started singing Happy Birthday. It really caught Kelsey off guard because they don’t celebrate their birthdays at work. While everyone was singing she noticed the projector screen coming on and Zack walked through the door with balloons. The screen had will you marry me. HE POPPED THE QUESTION IN FRONT OF EVERYONE AT HER JOB!!

The flowers were a mixture of hydrangeas, roses, and orchids.

Kelsey’s favorite image from their wedding day was from the first dance. Kelsey says “the picture is simply amazing the dry ice and the lighting made the picture over the top.” Their first dance song was one of our favorites “A Couple of Forevers” by Chrisette Michele.
