We have decided to share more of our personal adventures to help you, get to know us better and to check out some of our fun travels. As a photographer, it’s hard not to have my camera with me at all times. So this blog post was a great opportunity to get started. With that said, I met the love of my Tiffany and we become ONE on September 4th, 2015. I must say she is a amazing woman of God and I thank him everyday for sending her into my life. This blog post is a behind scenes look at our One Year Anniversary trip to Kauai Hawaii. It was a hard and long search to find a place that had beautiful beaches and great food scene. We wanted to stay away from places that were overly commercialized and crowed. Nearby restaurants within walking distance, with a quite and romantic atmosphere was a must.
I captured this image from outside our condo. We loved this property because of the breath taking views of the beach outside of our balcony. This decision was a no brainer!
Day One of our trip was spent catching up on some rest and recovering from jet lag. Our flight had a couple stops until arriving in Kauai Hawaii, it was about 8 hours total but our last connection flight from Phoenix Arizona was six hours.
We also checked out a popular local to-go food spot called Da Crack, great name I know :-). We read so many positive raves about this place and the hundreds of 5 star ratings on Yelp made this place hard to pass up. If you didn’t know Tiffany and I are certified foodies. I’m a little higher on certificate ladder, since I have been apart of the Yelp Elite squad for two years straight. I’m trying to bring her on board.
Day Two started off great! Our condo was near some local restaurants and retail businesses. We decided to check out Living Foods Market and Cafe, the market reminded us of Whole Foods.
We saw a few items on the menu and looked good so we decided to give it a try. The Kauai Marathon & Half Marathon was taking place and it was a little hard to get around. We are thankful we didn’t have to go far to check out this little spot. From there we went to Island Helicopter for a nice one hour helicopter ride over looking the beautiful scenery of Kauai. Check out a few images from this awesome trip and if you happen to be nearby on your next vacation please check this place out.
I normally use my iPhone for selfies but I guess it was time to do it with my DSLR 🙂
The helicopter ride was a lot of fun and I did so much sweating being way up there. We had the best seats on the helicopter, can’t wait to do it again.
Day 3-5 activities included a fun portrait session with the talented Meg Courtney Photography, mountain tubing, and hiking one of the world’s best hiking trails by National Geographic.
We had a blast during at our Anniversary Session with Meg Courtney. My original plan was to surprise Tiffany with this photo shoot but I remembered she would have to get a hair and makeup appointments. Meg was so gracious and recommended a few wonderful professionals that are located on the island. We loved the images she captured of us on Shipwreck Beach in Kauai.

After our awesome session with Meg, Tiffany honored me with the opportunity to photograph her at the beach near our condo. It’s not everyday I get this opportunity, I’m always excited to photograph my beautiful wife. Sunset had passed, so I took as many shots as I could. I love you Tiffany!
We enjoyed a nice walk on the beach. Everyday, we tried to watch the sunset, since we had such great views.
The beginning of our hike of the Kalalau Trail. Loving these views!
Love my wife’s smile. My best friend indeed, I thank God for this amazing women. Halfway through our two-hour hike 🙂
Our hike on the Kalalau Trail was a experience of a lifetime, it was a rugged terrain but the views were priceless.
After a two hour hike, we arrived at a remote beach off the trail. I only wish I brought my boogie board.
We enjoyed our tour of the coastline with Na Pali Experience.
